European Standards EN 12921.1 - 4 for the safety of cleaning machines have been developed by the Working Group 1 of TC271 of CEN under the Convenorship of Passaponti. Safety requirements are mandatory for all machines to be sold with the European Union and associated members. For CE marking washing machines shall comply with the safety requirements of the harmonized EUROPEAN Standards here below listed. Standards belong to the CEN and cannot be published. They are available from the National Bodies.
